AFA/VCHC Desert Shield/Desert Storm Heritage event

DATE: March 6, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am

LOCATION: Veterans Memorial Park

The event is being cosponsored by the Waterman-Twining  Chapter and the Veterans Council of Hillsborough County (VCHC).

Event Location: Friday, March 6, 2026, at Veterans Memorial Park, at 10:00 AM

The park has a covered Amphitheater setting with a covered podium area with a semi-covered seating for about 300.

Event Overview: We will start with the presenting of the colors, followed by the National Anthem. The MacDill Chaplain will give an Invocation. Bill Yucuis, Chapter President, and Joe Muhlberger, VCHC President, will welcome attendees and introduce VIPs. We will have a Keynote speaker from CENTCOM and then present five awards to the selected veterans representing the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Special Operations. After the event, the American Legion Post 148 from Riverview will provide hot dogs and water.
