Blue Star Families Nourish the Services

The Blue Star Families “Nourish the Services” Thanksgiving event was held at MacDill AFB on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The event provided, for free, frozen turkeys, along with all sorts of food items. The event provided these items to families of junior military members from throughout MacDill AFB and the surrounding community. The event serviced over 250 families and nearly volunteers helped to load food items into bags plus load all the items into cars.

The Waterman-Twining Chapter is a strong supporter of the Blue Star Families events and Bill Yucuis, Waterman-Twining AFA Chapter President, volunteered first filled out Thanksgiving cards, and then helped load bags, which included fresh fruit and vegetables, plus other nonperishable food items. Other groups loaded the turkeys and other items.
